That may sound like a bold statement.
But consider this: The Bible repeatedly declares that God’s judgments are “true and righteous.” Yet today many are being taught that when God judges, destroys, punishes sin, or executes justice, those actions must somehow be explained away because they seem inconsistent with love.
The result is subtle but profound. God’s judgments are viewed as cruel. God’s justice is viewed as harsh. And God’s own testimony about Himself is questioned. This is not a small issue.
It strikes at the very heart of the great controversy.
In Eden, Satan’s first sermon contained only two points:
“Yea, hath God said?”
and
“Ye shall not surely die.”
First, doubt God’s Word.
Then reject God’s judgment.
Six thousand years later, the strategy has not changed.
